New Attorney Joins Murder Case in FL

Story first appeared on Fox News.

A new attorney is joining the legal team representing the neighborhood watch volunteer accused of killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin earlier this year.

The Orlando Sentinel reports the lead defense attorney plans to announce Friday that a veteran Orlando attorney will join his team. The Sentinel reports two are longtime friends.

The Orlando attorney, who specializes in murder cases, has handled some of the most high-profile cases in central Florida over the past two decades.

He represented Orlando music mogul Lou Pearlman on bank, mail and wire fraud charges. In 1998, he helped Joe "Crazy Joe" Spaziano get off death row. Sapziano is a former motorcycle gang member who was convicted of raping and murdering an Orlando teen.
